Character Education Program

The Character Education Program offers practical research driven strategies designed to steer working relationship between parents, teachers and communities in the interest of nurturing good character and morals into the lives of the young people. The Character.org states that good character consists of understanding, caring about, and acting upon core ethical values.” Character Education refers to systematic initiatives that foster character development of the young people. The true goal of character education is for the young people to internalize moral values.

Environment and Service Program

The Environment and Service Program (EaSP) aims at mitigating the effects of climate change and global warming through advocating and leading in the implementation of service based learning initiatives with a key focus on reforestation. Over the years, the exploitation of natural resources such as forests, rivers, lakes and including poor garbage disposal and pollution have resulted to numerous negative health hazards. To counter this negative trend, the Centre for Character and Leadership seeks to inspire and support the achievement of 10% forest cover through growing trees in alignment with Kenya’s Vision 2030 and the Sustainable Development Goals.

Civic Engagement and Empowerment

The Civic Engagement and Empowerment Program (CEEP) aims at mitigating the cycles of violence and underlying vice of negative ethnicity by training youth, women and community leaders on principles of good citizenship, national values and peace building. Youth, women and community leaders tends to be key players in promoting a culture of peace by inculcating mutual ethnic tolerance, integration and community dialogue.
